🌊 ShipRocked 2026: Rock Hard, Vacation Harder
Every January, when most people are buried under winter layers and work stress, a very different kind of tribe sets sail. They’re not chasing rest — they’re chasing riffs, sun, and the kind of freedom that only happens when the stage is on a ship and the ocean is your dance floor.
Welcome to ShipRocked 2026 — the loudest, wildest, most unapologetically alive week on the water.
From January 25–31, 2026, the Carnival Horizon becomes a floating rock festival, launching from Miami, Florida and tearing across the Bahamas on a six-day voyage packed with heavy music, tropical beaches, and nonstop madness. For those who’ve been before, it’s a pilgrimage. For first-timers, it’s the kind of trip that changes everything.
🎸 The Vibe: Where the Ocean Meets the Pit
If you’ve ever been to a music festival and thought, “This would be perfect if it weren’t for the dust, tents, and overpriced beer,” then ShipRocked is your dream come true. Imagine your favorite rock festival — only it’s on a luxury ship, surrounded by turquoise water, with bottomless cocktails, late-night pool parties, and artists who don’t hide backstage but hang out right beside you.
It’s not about celebrity culture here — it’s about community. ShipRocked is a family of misfits, metalheads, punks, and dreamers who come together once a year to celebrate music in its rawest, most joyful form. Everyone’s part of the show — from the bands to the fans to the bartenders singing along behind the counter.
The vibe? Think equal parts music festival, beach party, and rock ’n’ roll family reunion.
🔥 The Lineup: Legends, Energy, and Surprises
Every year, ShipRocked delivers a lineup that hits harder than a double shot of espresso and a power chord to the chest. The 2026 roster is no exception.
This time, the ship sets sail with Halestorm, Motionless In White, Knocked Loose, Wage War, AWOLNATION, Suicidal Tendencies, Avatar, Starset, Sleep Theory, From Ashes To New, and Kittie, headlining a mix that spans metal, alternative, punk, and pure chaos.
But that’s only the start. More than 20 additional acts — from underground risers to cult favorites — round out the lineup, including Dead Poet Society, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Fox Lake, The Funeral Portrait, Shepherd’s Reign, and Zero 9:36. And then there’s The Stowaways — ShipRocked’s resident supergroup featuring rotating members from Hollywood Undead, I Prevail, Atreyu, and countless other rock heavyweights. Their live mashups and surprise covers are the stuff of legend.
Every corner of the ship hums with music — mainstage explosions, intimate acoustic sets, spontaneous jams at 2 a.m. The air vibrates with sound, laughter, and the clinking of rum glasses.

🛟 Festival Life at Sea
Beyond the concerts, ShipRocked is a nonstop festival playground. Days start with ocean views and end under starlit skies, with everything from artist Q&As to wild costume parties in between.
Theme nights turn the decks into a parade of pirates, neon ravers, and glam-rock gods. You’ll find fans dancing in the hallways, bands singing karaoke, and tattoo artists inking memories mid-ocean. There are yoga sessions on deck for those brave enough to attempt balance after late-night whiskey, and charity events like the Cancer Sucks Auction, where the community raises thousands while celebrating life through music.
It’s chaotic, beautiful, and wonderfully unfiltered. The kind of trip where you forget what day it is — and don’t care.
🏝 The Islands: Paradise Meets Power Chords
This isn’t just a cruise — it’s an island-hopping adventure with a rock soundtrack.
After leaving Miami, ShipRocked hits three incredible destinations across the Bahamas.
First stop: Half Moon Cay. Picture soft white sand, clear blue water, and a live show thundering across the beach. It’s the kind of place where you can mosh barefoot and float in the ocean with a drink in hand, all before lunch.
Then comes Celebration Key, Carnival’s brand-new private island — a first for ShipRocked. With 65 acres of beaches, lagoons, bars, and adventure zones, it’s a mix of tropical relaxation and festival energy. You can zipline, swim, or just soak it in — it’s your day to breathe before the next storm of sound.
Finally, Nassau, the beating heart of the Bahamas, where Halestorm will bring the thunder with a special “ShipDocked in Nassau” performance. Explore the island, dive into the culture, then return to the pier for one last electrifying show before the ship turns back toward Miami.
🚢 The Ship: Carnival Horizon
The Carnival Horizon isn’t just your transportation — it’s your arena, your hotel, your afterparty, and your second home.
Multiple music venues host live shows all day and night, while the open-air deck becomes a stage under the stars. When you’re not watching bands, you can hit the RedFrog Pub for rum cocktails, grab a burger from Guy’s Burger Joint, or float down a water slide overlooking the ocean.
There’s a spa for recovery, a Serenity deck for quiet moments, and a sea of hot tubs for when you want to toast to the chaos. And for those who live by the mantra “no sleep till Miami,” the ship’s nightlife delivers — bars, clubs, karaoke, silent discos, and those infamous late-night pizza runs that fuel the next day’s madness.

🌊 Tips from the Tribe
Arrive Early in Miami – Get there a day before departure. Explore Wynwood, hit South Beach, or grab Cuban food in Little Havana before you board.
Bring Costumes – Every night has a theme, and everyone goes all in. Whether it’s pirates, neon, or metal prom, the more ridiculous, the better.
Pack Light, but Smart – You won’t need much — swimwear, a few killer outfits, and something comfy for recovery days. Oh, and sunscreen. Lots of it.
Hydrate Like It’s Your Job – The sun, the drinks, the adrenaline — they’ll sneak up on you. Keep that water bottle close.
Expect the Unexpected – The best moments on ShipRocked aren’t always on the schedule. A surprise set. A random hallway jam. A chat with your favorite artist at 3 a.m. That’s the magic.
🤘 Why You Can't Miss It
ShipRocked isn’t about luxury — though it has plenty of it. It’s about connection. It’s about the shared roar when the first guitar riff hits the sea air, about the stranger next to you who becomes your best friend by Day 2, about the feeling that for one glorious week, you’ve escaped reality and found your tribe.
By the time you dock back in Miami, your voice will be gone, your phone full of new contacts, and your heart completely rewired for next year.
Because once you go ShipRocked… you never really come back.
